Researching Public Records to Be Topic

SANTA ANA — The Rancho Santiago College community services office will offer a seminar Saturday on how to research public records.
The seminar will cover most sources of information available in the public and private sector and state and federal laws that protect that information.
Organizers say the seminar is ideal for genealogists, adoptees, attorneys, paralegals, investigators, business owners, bill collectors, secretaries, investors, brokers, journalists and students who often need access to public records.
The seminar will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and in Room U-107 at the college’s Santa Ana campus, at 17th and Bristol streets. The fee, which may be paid at the door, is $25, plus $15 for materials.
For information, call the Rancho Santiago College community services office at (714) 564-6220.
