I have a message for those who want to ditch Los Angeles:
You’re leaving us with a legacy that includes Proposition 13, air pollution and George Deukmejian. You’re all worthless quitters. Leave those of us who believe the good old days are still ahead. Leave and take your stinking “peace and quiet” with you. I’ll get my peace and quiet when I’m in the grave. Right now, there’s work to do.
