Poultry in Motion: The band the Smithereens met with fowl play recently when a truck carrying 300 live chickens crashed into an Atlanta photo lab, destroying its contents, including the undeveloped film footage for an upcoming Smithereens video. Shot on location at Trump Castle in Atlantic City, the never-to-be-seen video for the single “Top of the Pops” featured Smithereens drummer Dennis Diken portraying Hugh Hefner. The Smithereens plan to reshoot the video.
