Search Goes On for Hockey News

The coming NHL season is starting with ups and downs: an exciting Canada Cup, an injury to Wayne Gretzky, contract negotiations, and the usual search through the L.A. Times sports section to find any news of it.
If Orel Hershiser or Magic Johnson incurred an injury during the off-season, it would have made the front page, but for the Great One, page 13 was the best The Times could do. There is more information on the back of a hockey sports card than one can find under The Day in Sports for the Kings.
Let’s hope that while the Kings work to prepare for the new season, so does The Times.
