Barstow 26, Palmdale 7--Shondel Hogan rushed for touchdowns of nine and 22 yards to lead the Aztecs over host Palmdale. Barstow (1-1) started the scoring on the first possession of the second quarter when quarterback James Apodaca connected with Lawrence Jackson on a 75-yard pass.
Barstow scored once more in the first half on Hogan’s nine-yard run. Palmdale (0-2) closed within 14-7 on a 26-yard pass from Terrence Zenno to Tywann Gaines.
