Task Force Plans Public Forum on Homelessness

Santa Monicans with ideas on how to solve the city’s homeless problems can speak Monday at a public forum sponsored by the Task Force on Homelessness.
The forum is set for 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall council chambers.
The 19-member task force of community members has been studying homelessness since May and will consider public input before making final recommendations in December on social services, public safety, shelter and housing.
Written testimony will be taken until Sept. 25. Send letters to: City of Santa Monica, Community Development Department, 1685 Main Street, St., Room 212, Santa Monica, Calif. 90401. Note on the envelope that the communication is directed to the task force.
