COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Chapman Women Lose to Westmont

Westmont, ranked 24th in the NAIA women’s volleyball poll, defeated Chapman, No. 14 in NCAA Division II, in three games Tuesday at Chapman.
The Panthers (9-5) played without starting middle hitter Rena Strange, who has a chronic back injury. Debi Waller had 16 kills for Chapman, which lost, 15-6, 15-12, 15-11.
Kelly Barnes had 15 kills for Westmont (9-3).
In other nonconference women’s volleyball:
Southern California College 3, Mt. St. Mary’s 0--Leslie Lastrapes had seven kills and five digs for host SCC (14-4).
The Master’s 3, Christ College Irvine 2--Julie Glenn had 18 kills and Tami Johnson had 14 for host CCI (9-11).
