HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL ROUNDUP : Blanton Passes Santa Ana Mater Dei Past Mission Viejo

Billy Blanton passed for 337 yards and three touchdowns to lead Santa Ana Mater Dei to a 42-7 victory over Mission Viejo in a nonleague game Thursday night at Santa Ana Stadium.
With the score tied, 7-7, in the second quarter, Blanton threw a 78-yard touchdown pass to Chris Ruperto. In the third quarter, Blanton hit Jason Thies on a four-yard touchdown pass. Blanton then threw a 53-yard scoring pass to Roger Morante in the fourth quarter.
Blanton completed 13 of 22 passes and also scored on a two-yard run.
The Monarchs (6-0) held Mission Viejo (4-1) to 84 yards.
Buena 49, Hueneme 12--George Keiaho rushed for 204 yards in 14 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs to a Channel League victory over Hueneme. Buena rushed for a school-record 409 yards, with Matt Kemsley gaining 104 yards in nine carries and scoring two touchdowns.
Lakewood Mayfair 14, Baldwin Park Sierra Vista 12--Don Monteleone and Manny Tafoya combined to rush for 104 yards in leading the Monsoons to an upset victory over Sierra Vista at Bellflower High. Mayfair improves to 1-2-2. Sierra Vista, ranked sixth in the Southern Section Division VI, drops to 4-1.
Van Nuys Montclair Prep 21, Camp Kilpatrick 18--Eliel Swinton scored on a 30-yard run and Wilbert Smith added a 24-yard score to give the Mounties a nonleague victory over Camp Kilpatrick.
