The trustees of the Capistrano Unified School District have started the process that will allow the district to advertise for construction bids for the proposed Aliso Niguel High School.
District Supt. James Fleming said groundbreaking on the $25-million project on a 44-acre site could commence before the end of the year, with a projected completion date of fall, 1993.
The proposed school will be built in Aliso Viejo.
The district is now waiting for final approval on site drawings from the state, said Dave Doomey, the district’s director of facilities.
