Sunday’s start may have been Tom Candiotti’s last as a member of the Blue Jays since he can file for free agency the day after the World Series ends.
“Toronto has a good team that looks like it will remain a good team,” said Candiotti, who was acquired in a June 22 trade with the Cleveland Indians.
“I’d like to see it work out here, but I also want to get what I feel I deserve. I don’t want to single anyone out, but the Yankees signed Mike Witt to a $7 million deal for three years and his statistics aren’t as good as mine.”
