I expect four things will happen as a result of the Thomas nomination proceedings:
* Sexual harassment will rightly become an extraordinarily high profile aspect of work life and victims will no longer wait 10 years before saying something.
* People all over the country will vent anger at Thomas or Hill based on real or imagined hurts done to them in the past by members of the opposite sex.
* Thomas will become a justice who is super-sensitized to sexual harassment, victims’ rights and innocence until proven guilty in a way that he never could have been before.
* Rentals of “Long Dong Silver” movies will reach record levels.
Maybe it wasn’t such a bad week.
