PIERCE COLLEGE : New Vice President Is Selected

Donald Love has been named vice president of administration at Pierce College in Woodland Hills by President Lowell Erickson.
Love, who had served as acting vice president of administration since July, 1990, is responsible for college operation and maintainence, and the budget.
Since joining the Pierce administrative staff in 1976, Love also has served as dean of vocational education, dean of academic affairs and dean of college development. Until last year, he was executive director of the Foundation for Pierce College, a nonprofit organization that raises funds to augment the college’s instructional program.
Love supervised the preparation of a proposal for a U.S. Department of Education grant the college received in July. The grant will provide $2.5 million over a five-year period.
Love, who was chosen Pierce College Administrator of the Year in 1988, worked at various jobs at Valley College in Van Nuys before coming to Pierce.
