SOUTHLAND ROUNDUP : Redlands Runs to 54-3 Victory

Senior running back Curt Landreth scored five touchdowns to lead Redlands to a 54-3 victory over Pomona-Pitzer in a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game Saturday night at Redlands.
Landreth, who gained 172 yards in 13 carries, caught two touchdown passes and had three scoring runs, including a 90-yarder.
Redlands improved to 5-1 and 4-0 in the SCIAC. Pomona is 2-5 and 1-4.
Occidental 20, Whittier 14--Gary Little gained 144 yards and scored on a 90-yard run to help Occidental (5-1, 3-0) beat the Poets (2-5, 1-3) in an SCIAC game at Whittier.
Occidental plays Redlands next week.
Azusa Pacific 22, Menlo 15--Freshman running back Jeremy Hathcock gained 128 yards in 14 carries and scored three touchdowns to lead Azusa Pacific (3-4) to a nonconference victory over Menlo (2-6) at Menlo Park.
