OFFICER GADDI: Board of Supervisors Chairman Gaddi H. Vasquez has been showing up at quite a few crime scenes in Orange. He spends up to 18 hours a month, without pay, as a reserve police officer there. Vasquez, who started his career as an Orange police officer, says it gives him a different view of his district. One night, he says, laughing, “we were interviewing a crime victim who kept looking at me and finally said: ‘Did you know you look an awful lot like that county supervisor?’ ”
