ODDS AND ENDS
Touch of Class: Four members of the chain gang at Buena Park High School’s playoff game against Newport Harbor in Division VI arrived in style Friday night. Don Brassell, Doug Legg, Erroll Frizzell and Ken Holmes drove into the stadium in a 1961 Rolls Royce limo and donned tuxedos for Buena Park’s first home playoff game in school history.
“We’ve been together for six years and have been through some lean times, so we decided to dress up for the good times,” Holmes said. Unfortunately, the crew’s green cummerbunds didn’t help the cause as Buena Park lost, 35-14.
