Tehachapi 17, Highland 7--Ben Creason and Patrick Duffy scored first-quarter touchdowns on runs of five and 32 yards and host Tehachapi (8-3) hung on to end Highland’s first varsity season.

Highland (9-2) closed to within seven points on quarterback Travis Sabadin’s one-yard touchdown run with 55 seconds left in the first half, but the Warriors scored again in the third quarter on Josh Rathbone’s 25-yard field goal.

Sabadin completed six of 14 passes for 77 yards. Creason rushed for 84 yards in 23 carries to lead Tehachapi.
