Richard J. Kapash has been appointed president of Symbol Technologies’ portable systems division in Costa Mesa. Kapash heads all operations of the division, including its RF Design Center in San Jose. He was formerly president of Sola Optical USA Inc., a producer of ophthalmic lenses. Symbol Technologies manufactures bar-code reading equipment, hand-held computers and radio-frequency data communications products.
