A man stole about $1,000 from Security Pacific Bank in Oxnard on Tuesday after handing a threatening note to a teller, authorities said.
The man was described as white, clean-shaven, in his 30s, 5 foot, 8 inches tall and 150 pounds, with dark hair combed straight back, Oxnard Police Officer John Loredo said. The bank branch is on A Street.
In another bank robbery Monday, a man described as black and between 20 and 25 years old stole an undetermined amount of money from the First Interstate Bank on Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
As in Tuesday’s robbery, the man showed a teller a note demanding money, authorities said.
Although the Oxnard robber said he had a gun, no weapon was seen in either robbery, authorities said.
