COUNTYWIDE : Volunteers to Haul Thanksgiving Food
- Share via
Volunteers will deliver about 100 Thanksgiving food baskets to elderly, homeless and poor families today as part of a nationwide effort in over 65 cities.
About 15 people have signed up so far as part of the Basket Brigade program to deliver the baskets throughout Anaheim and Seal Beach. Nationwide, 1,000 people will be delivering baskets to 10,000 families.
The effort is organized by the Anthony Robbins Foundation, a nonprofit group based in San Diego. The foundation assists the needy in getting back on their feet and prepares ex-convicts to get back into society.
Anyone interested in making food donations or volunteering to deliver may call Joe Kacura at (714) 646-0187 or (714) 978-2277. Donations can be dropped off at 4305 E. La Palma Ave. in Anaheim.
