“Brewster” Teacher Arrested: Thomas Kent Carter, who played teacher Mike Fulton on NBC’s 1985 sitcom “Punky Brewster,” posted $10,000 bail after his arrest for investigation of car theft, authorities said Sunday. Carter was arrested Saturday after a chase on the San Diego Freeway in Los Angeles. Police said the 35-year-old actor was driving under the influence of cocaine and the hallucinogenic drug PCP during the chase. The chase began when, police said, Carter stole a car from a woman in Westchester.
