COUNTYWIDE : County Agencies Plan Housing Forum

Ventura County’s Mental Health Services and Area Housing Authority will co-sponsor a forum on housing Wednesday.
The forum will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the County Government Center, 800 S. Victoria Ave., Ventura, in the lower plaza assembly room. County Supervisor John K. Flynn will host the event.
Featured speakers will be Tom Honore, director of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in Los Angeles, and Carmen Ramirez, executive director of Channel Counties Legal Services in Oxnard.
County mental health and housing officials are concerned about having suitable housing for disabled people, including the mentally ill, according to representatives of those agencies.
