THE SAVIOR OF SKID ROW
I am elated that Alice Callaghan has been so monomaniacal in succeeding to preserve the economic atrophy of downtown Los Angeles as a breeding pit for AIDS, hepatitis and tuberculosis, as well as drug abuse, panhandling and prostitution. Fie upon those who would endanger the serene harmony of crack bottles, used syringes and condoms, and human excrement placed in L.A.’s doorways and alleys.
No doubt the passing years will see Callaghan transform her domain into a magnet slum worthy of acclaim, my tax levies ever-increasing to pick up the tab.
