Car-Truck Crash Kills 1, Injures 4

COSTA MESA — A driver was killed Friday night and four passengers in her car were injured in a collision with a pickup truck, police said.
The woman, who was not immediately identified, was driving out of Fairview Regional Park onto Placentia Avenue about 9:20 p.m. The crash occurred as she was preparing to turn left, police said.
Three of the passengers in her car were taken to Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach with minor injuries, Police Officer Bob Crogan said. The fourth passenger was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, also with minor injuries.
The driver of the pickup wasn’t injured.
