Bob Wade said Friday he has resigned as baseball coach at Calabasas High and, according to Westlake Coach Rich Herrera, Wade has accepted a position as an assistant at Westlake.
Wade, 43, had a record of 44-49-4 and led the Coyotes to three Southern Section 2-A Division playoff berths in five seasons as a walk-on coach.
“It’s just too difficult to be a head varsity coach from off campus and deal with all the logistical problems,” said Wade, who also teaches at a middle school.
