In the Rosemead Bosco Tech boys’ tournament:
Magnolia Splits Two--The Sentinels routed Los Angeles Verbum Dei, 10-0, in a ninth-place quarterfinal, after a 2-0 loss to Los Angeles Roosevelt, 2-0, in a championship bracket second-round game.
Jorge Luviano had three goals and Dean Gilbert, Brett DeVanna and Easar Alvarado two each against the Eagles as Magnolia improved to 6-3-1.
In the consolation round of the Cerritos girls’ soccer tournament:
Valencia 1, Western 0--Judy Hlavac scored on Mary Folino’s assist 15 minutes into the game for Valencia (1-3-3). Western goalie Courtney Chambers had eight saves.
Trabuco Hills 2, Redlands 0--Theresa Summa scored two goals in the Mustangs’ two victories Saturday. Trabuco Hills (6-1-1) also defeated Cerritos, 2-0, earlier in the day.
In the championship game of the Mt. Carmel girls’ soccer tournament:
Mater Dei 5, Mt. Carmel 1--Joey Sisco scored two goals for Mater Dei (8-1), which won four games to win the title.
In girls’ nonleague soccer:
Sunny Hills 6, Anaheim 0--Sophomore Danielle Broschak made two saves to record her second consecutive shutout and Rhonda Partida had two goals as the host Lancers improved to 6-1.
