IBM, National Semi Teaming Up: International Business Machines Corp. and National Semiconductor Corp. said they will share technology used to link computers in networks. The companies said the goal of the agreement is to accelerate the growth of networks of personal computers, computer workstations and printers. Such networks allow computer users to share data files and use the same printer. IBM will contribute its Token Ring technology for networking, while National Semi will contribute its Ethernet networking technology.
