Mimi Adler, 56, a veteran Los Angeles art dealer who donated to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art one of its best-known modern metal sculptures, “Sweet William” by John Chamberlain. Abe and Mimi Adler had operated the Adler Gallery, first in Beverly Hills and then on La Cienega Boulevard, since 1967. She also was a founding member of the Contemporary Art Council of LACMA and of the Museum of Contemporary Art. In Los Angeles of breast cancer on Jan. 29.
