Safety Symbol: “Inspector Gadget,” the cartoon policeman seen on CBS and Nickelodeon, is the new child safety spokesman for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The inspector will tell children how to deal with strangers and victimization via a TV special, comic books, billboards, public-service announcements, bumper stickers and posters.
