A man with Alzheimer’s disease, abandoned at an Idaho dog track, was reunited in Portland, Ore., with a daughter he had not seen in nearly 30 years. Nancy Myatt, 55, of Dickson, Tenn., said she is working with her father’s guardian and the courts to get custody of John Kingery, 82. He was found at Coeur d’Alene Greyhound Park on March 21. Myatt said she had thought her father was dead until she saw news reports about him. Officials said Myatt’s half sister removed Kingery from Portland’s Laurelhurst Care Center against a doctor’s advice earlier last month. No one has been charged in the case, but officials are investigating.
