PREP ROUNDUP : El Toro Finally Beats Dana Hills in Tennis

The Brown family helped the El Toro boys’ tennis team end its 15-year losing streak to Dana Hills.
Chris Brown swept his singles sets, and his brother, Alex, a freshman, teamed with Arnaud Sauvage to win two out of three doubles sets as the host Chargers (9-2, 1-0) defeated the Dolphins, 11-7, in a South Coast League match Thursday.
It marked El Toro’s first victory over Dana Hills since 1977.
In Garden Grove League tennis:
Bolsa Grande 11, Kennedy 7--Tuan Pham and Minh Tran won their doubles sets, 6-2, 6-1, 6-0, for visiting Bolsa Grande (3-2),
In Orange League tennis:
Western 10, Brea-Olinda 8--Doubles partners Quoc Tran and Dean Ras won their third set to give Western (7-1, 1-0) the winning point. James Yu swept his singles matches for Western. Antoine Tran and Brian Lee swept their doubles matches for Brea-Olinda (9-2, 0-1).
In Pacific Coast League tennis:
Laguna Hills 9, Trabuco Hills 9 (Laguna Hills wins on games, 77-74)--Chris Marshall swept at No. 2 singles for Laguna Hills (5-5, 1-0).
Laguna Beach 12, Costa Mesa 6--Bobbie Nichols swept his singles matches and Eric Pelton and Matt McKeown won their doubles sets for Laguna Beach (5-6, 1-0). Costa Mesa is 7-3, 0-1.
In Angelus League golf:
Loyola 181, Servite 184--Ken Mousseau shot an even-par 33 for Servite (7-3, 2-2) at Fullerton. Chris Simms shot 34 for Loyola.
In Empire League golf:
Esperanza 209, El Dorado 221--Chris Berry shot one-under 34 for Esperanza at Western Hills.
In Orange League golf:
Western 206, Brea-Olinda 234--Tiger Woods shot one-over 37 for Western (4-4, 2-1) at Los Coyotes. Mike Peterson shot 43 for Brea-Olinda (2-2).
