RESEDA : Retiree Is Found Stabbed to Death
- Share via
The body of a Reseda retiree who had been stabbed to death was discovered in his apartment early Thursday when firefighters arrived to fight a fire there, Los Angeles police said.
William Webster Tucker, 61, a former hobby shop manager, apparently was the victim of a robbery in which the thief set fire to the apartment to cover up the fatal stabbing, Detective Rick Swanston said. The discovery was made about 4:30 a.m. in the 7900 block of Reseda Boulevard, Swanston said.
A television set and other electronic items were missing from Tucker’s apartment, leading detectives to believe robbery was the motive.
