PREP NOTES : 5 Honored by All-State Selections

Reggie Geary (Mater Dei), Brandon Jessie (Edison), Nicole Erickson (Brea-Olinda), Jody Anton (Brea-Olinda) and Zrinka Kristich (La Habra) have been named to Cal-Hi Sports’ all-state basketball teams.
The publication named Alameda St. Joseph’s Jason Kidd as the boys’ player of the year for the second consecutive season. Charisse Sampson of Los Angeles Washington was named girls’ player of the year.
Capistrano Valley’s 57-53 victory over Westchester in the State Division I boys’ regional semifinals was named “upset of the year.”
