Mark Gottfried and Steve Lavin, UCLA assistant basketball coaches, were promoted Friday by Coach Jim Harrick.
Gottfried, who was a part-time assistant last season, was given a full-time position, and Lavin, who recently completed his first season on the staff as a volunteer, became a part-time assistant. Tony Fuller and Brad Holland, Bruin assistants, recently accepted head coaching positions at San Diego State and Cal State Fullerton, respectively.
