A judge in Miami ordered a mental examination of Trevor Berbick after an arm-waving outburst by the former heavyweight champion at his sentencing hearing for sexual battery.
Circuit Court Judge Thomas Wilson postponed sentencing until April 28 and ordered the exam after Berbick delivered a rambling, 45-minute speech marked by high-pitched proclamations of innocence. He said “secret agents” had manipulated his accuser and were behind her allegations.
