Beckman Signs Pact With British Firm: Beckman Instruments Inc. in Fullerton has signed an agreement with Oxford GlycoSystems Limited of Oxford, England, in which OGS will develop glycobiology reagents and kits for use with Beckman’s capillary electrophoresis machines.
The reagent, a chemical used in medical research to isolate the components of a substance, will be manufactured by OGS and marketed by Beckman. Beckman’s capillary electrophoresis hardware separates protein compounds so that they can be analyzed. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
