* James F. Berry has been appointed vice president and general manager of the C-17 program and will serve as deputy for government programs at the Long Beach-based Douglas Aircraft division of McDonnell Douglas.
Berry, who most recently served as vice president and general manager of production for the C-17 program, will be in charge of day-to-day internal operations for the C-17 and serve as deputy to David O. Swain, who continues in his position as executive vice president of the government segment for Douglas.
Berry joined McDonnell Douglas in July, 1991, after serving with Northrop Corp. as vice president of operations for the B-2 advanced technology bomber.
