PREP ROUNDUP : Woods Leads Western’s Rally Over Marina

Tiger Woods shot two-under-par 68 to lead Western to a comeback victory over Marina Monday in a nonleague golf match.
Gary Holder shot 71 for the Pioneers (7-5). The match was played over two days at the Meadowlark and Dad Miller golf courses.
In other nonleague golf:
Foothill 208, Tustin 249--Matt Montford shot one-over 37 for Foothill (9-5) at Tustin Ranch.
In Olympic League baseball:
Ayala 1, Orange Lutheran 0--Matt Hendren struck out nine and allowed three hits but two came in the first inning when Ayala scored the game’s only run. Orange Lutheran (11-4, 4-2) managed only two hits. Ayala is 7-5, 5-1.
In nonleague boys’ tennis:
Woodbridge 10, Dana Hills 8--Singles player Rajeev Saggar and the doubles team of Kevin Hill and Brian Haden won third-round matches to help Woodbridge come back from a 7-5 deficit. Hill and Haden (38-3) swept their sets, 6-4, 6-2, 6-3, for the Warriors (14-3). Dana Hills is 7-6.
Corona del Mar 14, San Clemente 4--Trenton Rhodes swept at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-4, 6-1, and Brian Walden swept at No. 2, 6-4, 6-3, 6-2, for Corona del Mar (11-2). San Clemente is 9-2.
