Panos Christi, 54, actor and director who came to Los Angeles from his native Greece and founded the Aghape Theatre in 1975. Christi also helped establish the Equity waiver movement in Los Angeles, whereby theaters with 99 seats or less don’t have to pay performers Actors’ Equity scale. His production of “Cabaret” in 1980 brought him 11 awards and a nomination as outstanding director from the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle. He also appeared as an actor in episodic television on such series as “Dallas,” “The Love Boat,” “The Waltons,” “Santa Barbara” and “Days of Our Lives.” In Los Angeles on April 25 of the complications of AIDS.
