Denver Wants Issel as Coach

DENVER — Nugget officials say they expect to hire former Denver star Dan Issel as the team’s coach.
“We’ve got a couple of ‘i’s’ to dot and ‘t’s’ to cross,” Nugget General Manager Bernie Bickerstaff said. “Monday we should get that done, and Wednesday have an announcement.”
Charlotte vice president Gene Littles and Nugget assistant Mike Evans are expected to be Issel’s assistant coaches, according to the Denver Post.
