Trio-Tech International Trims Losses for Quarter

Trio-Tech International in San Fernando reported that it narrowed its losses in its fiscal third quarter and nine months ended March 27 because of more efficient operations, but said it continues to suffer from the sluggish economy.
The maker of semiconductor testing machines said it lost $118,000 in its third quarter, down from a $506,000 loss a year earlier. Revenue rose 7% to $3.75 million.
Its nine-month loss was $362,000, compared with a loss of $840,000 a year before. Revenue was $11.4 million, a 17% gain from $9.75 million.
