Kitty Is Kaput: Scratch “The Kitty Kelley Show” from the long list of upcoming talk shows. MCA TV confirmed Tuesday that it has scrapped the project because not enough stations had signed up to carry the show. Reportedly, only 28 markets had come on board, including KCBS-TV in Los Angeles, where Kelley was slated for a fall debut. With the field already crowded, a lack of available time periods for a daily show was said to be a factor in selling the show. Kelley gained national attention for her controversial biography of Nancy Reagan.
