L.A.’s the Place: ABC’s “Home” show will put a positive spin on post-riot reporting Wednesday by broadcasing from Susan M. Dorsey High School in inner-city Los Angeles and talking to youths and families that are committed to rebuilding the area. State Sen. Diane Watson, a Dorsey alumna, is also listed as a guest. “Home” airs at 10 a.m. on KABC-TV Channel 7. . . . ABC’s “Nightline Special Investigation” Thursday at 10 p.m. will look at what happened during the first hours after the Rodney G. King verdict and the outbreak of the Los Angeles riots. Ted Koppel will anchor. He later will interview outgoing Police Chief Daryl F. Gates on the regular “Nightline” at 11:30 p.m. Gates also will be interviewed by Larry King Wednesday at 6 p.m. on CNN.
