2-Day Monroe Festival Set in Hollywood

“Hollywood Remembers Marilyn,” a two-day commemoration of the life, achievements and legend of Marilyn Monroe, begins Sunday with a re-dedication of Monroe’s Walk of Fame Star at 11:30 a.m. on Hollywood Boulevard, just east of Highland Avenue.
From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. there will be a costume, art, photo and artifacts exhibition and a Monroe (and Hollywood) collectibles sale Sunday and Monday, at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. A Monroe look-alike contest will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the hotel.
On Monday, when Monroe would have been 66, there will be a birthday gala at 6 p.m., also at the hotel.
