Regarding the article in your “Oxnard College Graduates to Offer Brief Thank-Yous,” May 16, there is another California institution of higher learning where graduates are allowed to speak at the graduation ceremonies--Antioch Southern California at Santa Barbara.
Antioch University is 140 years old and was the first college in the United States to offer racial and sexual equality.
I am looking forward to June 14, when I receive my Master of Arts degree in organizational management from Antioch University and relish my one minute to say my thanks.
