Sasha Vujic, Garrett Noel and Charlotte Vines of Cal State Northridge will compete in the NCAA Division I track and field championships in Austin, Tex., June 3-6.
Vujic exceeded the automatic qualifying time in the men’s 1,500 meters (3 minutes 41.40 seconds) with a school-record time of 3:41.23 in the Santa Monica Distance Classic last week.
Noel and Vines had exceeded the provisional qualifying standard in the men’s javelin (a school-record 234 feet 1 inch) and women’s 100 meters (wind-aided 11.50), respectively, but Northridge Coach Don Strametz did not know if they would get into the meet until the Division I track and field selection committee made its decision Saturday night.
