Video Firm Promo Offers Quayle Eggs

Trying to capitalize on the publicity over Dan Quayle’s attacking TV character Murphy Brown’s becoming an unwed mother, PolyGram Video says it is offering a video of Quayle “bloopers and blunders.”

“Quayle Season” features some of the vice president’s “greatest verbal fumbles, mix-ups and memory blanks,” New York-based PolyGram says.

“Watch Dan as he emphatically tells voters, ‘We don’t want to go back to tomorrow; we want to move forward,’ and explains that ‘I didn’t live in this century, but in this century’s history,’ ” PolyGram adds.

It concludes the promotion by trumpeting the message that “ ‘Quayle Season’ has arrived!”
