Two masked gunmen held up the only bank in the rural community of Piru on Tuesday and escaped with several thousand dollars, authorities said.
Wearing ski masks to cover their faces, the pair entered the Citizens State Bank of Piru, 3940 E. Center St., about 12:30 p.m. and ordered a teller to give them money, Sheriff’s Lt. Paul Anderson said. Both men pulled handguns during the robbery, he said.
Investigators learned that the robbers had fled in a white El Camino with blue trim.
