Joseph Bernard Katz, 82, musical director and conductor on such radio shows as “Mayor of the Town,” “Hollywood Star Preview,” “This Is My Best” and “Point Sublime,” for which he wrote theme and incidental music. In the late 1930s he was featured pianist on Los Angeles radio station KHJ’s “Katz on the Keys.” Before that he was pianist with the NBC Orchestra in San Francisco. On May 22 in San Francisco.
