* August Coppola has been named chairman of Education First, a nonprofit education public interest group set up by executives in the entertainment industry. The group’s aim is to use the entertainment and media industries as a vehicle for re-establishing education policy in the nation. Coppola, for the past eight years, has been dean of the arts school at San Francisco State University.
