Don Prudhomme repeated as champion of the NHRA Oldsmobile Springnationals, defeating fellow Motorsports Hall of Fame driver Connie Kalitta in the top-fuel final at Kirkersville, Ohio. Al Hofmann of Umatilla, Fla., won in funny car and Jerry Eckman won in pro stock.
